"My wife and I have been following ABC for the last several years and applaud your balancing the drift in what was a balanced and enriching Chautauqua experience. We have not been back for a number of years. Your efforts may persuade us to do so."
"Please let me express my appreciation to you. It is good to see that there are other people that have a hard time understanding how Chautauqua has become so extreme. I no longer live in Chautauqua County, but have subscribed to 'Chautauqua Assembly` the last few years. From a young age, I started attending Chautauqua and this continued for many years. So, remaining involved in some way is only natural. I find myself relieved at the conclusion of the season, because I will no longer be subjected to the incredibly one-sided, warped, and often false narrative that has taken over. Going forward, I believe I will do myself a huge favor and not renew that subscription. There are so many positive, enlightening alternatives to choose from. Best wishes on your efforts to move Chautauqua back towards the principles it was founded on."
"Householder and many decades seasonal attending at Chautauqua. I have promised (myself) to not get involved in the “politics” . Nevertheless i support your goals an very much think such changes are necessary for Chautauqua to succeed with new generations."
"Keep fighting the good fight for truth and light in the darkness.
Save Chautauqua from this radical agenda and closemindedness to anyone that doesn't think like them or agree. Restore Chautauqua to its founding principles and loving community across all people, not just the elite progressive world-viewers.
Grateful for all you do."
"Enjoyed our first visit last night , July 10th [2023]. We were pleasantly surprised at the full house. Hope we can eventually get to the Amphitheater. "
"For the past 6 years my husband and I have been spending several months each Summer in Ellicottville, NY. We have visited the Chautauqua Institute each year. After our visit in 2022, we decided that we were uncomfortable there because of the overwhelming sense of liberalism gone wild. We decided we would not go this year. When we got to EVL this year I was reading an article in THE VILLAGER newspaper and found an article and ad about ABC
BRAVO! It’s about time someone stood up to the hypocrisy of Chautauqua. And shame on Chautauqua for not even giving you a listing. I’m only sorry that we learned about Dr Christy’s lecture until after it happened. Please let me know of upcoming events this season.
Keep up the good work!"
"Love the work you are doing! The imbalance of thought in Chautauqua is a big reason why I haven't come during the season in a very long time. Thanks."
"My family and I have treasured Chautauqua for many decades. It brings me joy and inspiration to see the courage and determination of ABC founders and members to bring a Conservative voice back to the place we love."
"Dear ABC,
our meetings have been a particular pleasure to me. Can't help but wonder if it's because they confirm what I already believe. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed them. I do like to hear other sides, but not ONLY one other side. What I don't understand is the strong animosity toward the ones that you arrange. Even a close friend who happens to be a Democrat, was shocked to hear that I attended such meetings. I told her that... there was never anything said with which she would not actually agree. I welcomed her to attend with me. Think that there is a lot of misquoting of our meetings. Some people can only hear from their own perspective. I DO think that the amp lectures were not all as liberal as they've been in the past. If I were you, I'd take credit for that!
I know that you must put a tremendous amount of time and effort into these talks that you've arranged at the hotel. We at Chautauqua are so fortunate that you've taken on this responsibility."
“May the bluebird of happiness bring renewal to CHQ”
"I've been to several ABC presentations over the years and am impressed with the quality of the speakers. I believe that Chautauqua is in trouble insomuch as it is losing its core self to woke culture and activism."
"Keep up the good work. It’s not an easy task”
"I hope to attend my first lecture later today. Thank you for providing an alternate view of the world!"
"Attended the Gordon Chang event. Really good speaker with strong and thoughtful ideas. Made you think where our country is headed..."
“We have waited a long time for a group like ABC. Good Luck!”
“Please, please keep up the good cause”
“We have confidence in ABC’s future. You are fair minded individuals working for balance success”
“Sending warm regards and great success”
“Keep up the good work”
“…we couldn’t take it anymore! Sold our Chautauqua home, but wish ABC grand success”
“Wish you continued success with your important work”
